These are Tanya Wolfkamp's beautiful new tea towels.
They are part of her new Vintage Birds series where she has depicted New Zealand native birds - the Kotare (Kingfisher), Kotuku (White Heron) and Kaka (NZ parrot). She has placed them amongst a rich and beautiful array of New Zealand native plants and insects. The colours and details are exquisite.
Living on Waiheke Island and armed with a Fine Arts degree on painting, Tanya Wolfkamp has had a long and successful career in the decorative arts. Decades of working as a decorative painter and textile designer sharpened her skills and depth of historical knowledge, leading to her celebrate neo-Victorian style.
Nostalgic at heart, Tanya says she 'makes the images she longs for in the modern world - capturing timeless beauty with a modern sensibility.'
These stunning tea towels are made of microfibre and measure 50 x 70cms. They dry dishes well and make a lovely gift.
