Shipping policy
It is important to us to make sure our business footprint is as light as possible. So we send off our website orders using recycled paper packing and bubble wrap where possible. We use recycled cardboard boxes or eco friendly courier bags.
The bags are made from biopolymers and co-polymer; PBAT (polybutylene adipate terephthalate), Corn-starch and PLA (polylactic acid). They do not contain any conventional plastic whatsoever. And they are totally compostable.
Courier within New Zealand
We normally offer free shipping for all orders over $250. But while we are giving a 10% discount code to everyone that signs up to our newsletter we have suspended this offer. We'll give free shipping for over $250 orders again very soon. Please email us if you have any queries or comments about this. You can always ask us for a discount if you place a large order. Contact anna@thegardenparty.co.nz and we'll see if we can offer you one.

We do our best to dispatch all orders asap. If there is a delay of more than 3 working days we will email you and let you know. As we sell handmade products sometimes it takes a little while for these products to be made if we are out of stock. But we will keep you informed.
Please allow 2-5 days for delivery depending on location. It takes longer for RD deliveries as this requires two different drivers to deliver the parcel. Please note that it is the couriers that define what is an RD delivery, not us and they apply charges accordingly. Generally anywhere off the main highway is considered an RD address by the couriers.
Please note we can not courier to a P.O Box.
Please let us know if you require complimentary gift wrapping.
We can also arrange to send your gift directly to the recipient. And we can write a gift card for you, if you let us know what to write.
Local customers are welcome to collect orders in-store.
If the goods cannot be delivered because you cannot accept delivery, the incorrect address has been provided, or no one is available to accept the goods, It then becomes the buyer's responsibility to arrange re-delivery or personal collection of the goods from their courier depot.
*In this Covid time couriers are not obtaining signatures and parcels may be left in letterboxes or on front doorsteps if no one is home. If this is not suitable please organise to send to a work address or one where someone will be home.

International Orders & Shipping Policy
Due this time of Covid and shipping delays worldwide please be aware that all delivery times have been extended. This is something out of our control. We endeavour to pack your order and send it off asap but once it is in the postal system it is up to the countries systems and many are experiencing long delays.
Whenever you place an order to be shipped outside New Zealand, your order will be processed the day it is received and shipped within 4 business days via New Zealand Post International. Postage and handling fees will be calculated during checkout. If there is a delay due to items not being available we will email you.
You will be emailed tracking information once your order is on its way.
In some cases, we may need to see a photocopy of your credit card for verification purposes. This should be scanned and sent to us via email. If validation is requested, your order will not ship until we receive this.
Please note that we reserve the right to cancel any order if the customer has wrongfully addressed their order. Ie. Has put New Zealand for the courier charge and then addressed it to Australia.
NB: We do not accept responsibility for customs taxes, duties or other fees upon your shipment's arrival in your country.
