These are rich and detailed puzzles that New Zealand artist, Tanya Wolfkamp has created with decoupaged vintage prints.
The first, called Native Flora and Fauna, is a rich mix of New Zealand native plants and insects. Look carefully into the deep, dark image and you will find a stunning array of New Zealand native plants, flowers, moths and butterflies and even some caterpillars on the foliage for good measure. (15 species of plants and over ten insects).
The second is called Birds and Postcards and is decoupaged from a mix of Tanya's own collection of early coloured lithograph postcards, historic prints from 19th century scenic books of NZ and Bullers Bird prints as well as a fine selection of our most loved native birds.
The newest addition to this sumptuous range is the Sea Treasures of Aotearoa - Nga Taonga O Te Moana. This puzzle is Tanya's homage to the Victorian natural history hobbyists who presented their "discoveries" as curiosities under large glass domes, she collected vintage prints of Aotearoa's favourite kai moana and set them among our native creatures in this intricate collage.
All jigsaw puzzles are made up of 1000 pieces and are 50 x 70cms when finished.
They come in a cardboard box with a stunning illustration on the outside for guidance.
They are all an immensely pleasing puzzles to complete and make a wonderful gift for puzzlers.
