These beautiful wrist warmers act as a sleeve extension or place your thumb in the opening and have warm hands with fingers free to explore, swipe or play.

They are soft and beautiful to wear and made in New Zealand from 100% Merino wool.

Knit Shepard is a small-scale prototyping lab and textile artist studio for New Zealand's natural fibres.  It is run by Sarah Coxhead, a former textile designer for film and television.  She has spent many years designing knitwear.

She is inspired by the beauty of Aotearoa and her collections are named after this country's landmarks - Taranaki & Kā Pākihi Whakatekateka o Waitaha (Canterbury plains).

The Taranaki knit stitch pattern is inspired by the conical form of the majestic Taranaki Maunga (Mt Taranaki).

While the Waitaha design is inspired by the chequered pattern the many paddocks make when viewed from the sky inspired this slip-stitch pattern.

These gloves are well made and make a thoughtful, practical gift that celebrates the beauty of New Zealand wool.
