These beautiful glazed tiles feature the art work of New Zealander Katheryn Furniss. her love of wildlife, particularly birds is evident in these two tiles - the Kōtare the Sacred Kingfisher in flight and the New Zealand native Tūī on a background Nikau.
The tiles can sit on a flat surface and be used as a trivet or can be hung on the wall. There is a hook attached to the cork backed tile.
The tiles measure 17 x 12.5cm, they are designed in New Zealand and made in China. They are designed for indoor use only. Tiny surface bumps or pinprick marks are a natural result of the heat-press and glazing process. These subtle variations are part of the handmade charm, giving each tile its own unique character.
Both these tiles make a lovely gift as they come smartly boxed and can be easily hung on the wall.
