Pat Hanley's puzzle is based on his painting Wonder. It is part of a series of works completed shortly after the birth of the Hanly’s daughter. Reflecting upon the life-affirming nature of this experience, Wonder encourages us to see the world around us with the fresh joy and wonder of a child, to discover the remarkable visual adventures in our everyday. It features many of Hanley's reoccurring motifs a heart with an all-seeing eye, a star, a moon, a dove, a child.
John Badcock's artwork is identifiable by his heavily applied and texturally sculptured use of rich oil paint. His landscapes are expressive, spontaneous and filled with movement. This puzzle is based on a painting of Nepean Island from Point Hunter, Norfolk Island.
These both make a great gift keen puzzlers and people that appreciate a challenging puzzle, beauty and art.
