These ponamu pendants are hand carved in New Zealand. They are in a Toki shape which represents determination, strength, focus and great honour.
Its chisel shape represents an adze head that is a traditional tool by Maori.
It comes on a waxed extendable cord and measures approx 2cm at its widest point and 4 cm in length.
All the pendants are hand carved so the ponamu will be different in each one and the size may vary slightly.
Comes in a smart Little Taonga box with an explanation of what a Toki represents.
This makes a great gift, for someone that is leaving Aotearoa or would like to have a reminder of this country close by. The more you wear the ponamu pendants, the better they get.
