Aotea Skincare was founded in 2017.  It is are inspired by mātauranga Māori (Māori knowledge) and this knowledge manifests itself in their range of therapeutic skincare.

Aotea is the Māori name for Great Barrier Island, it is theirnamesake, and where the Aotea creators are from. It is here that they grow all the native flora that they use in their range, they extract the active compounds and use these healing extracts for the key tenants in their products.

Aotea Skincare is natural and soothing and contains anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties that are suitable for normal or sensitive skins.

Manuka Day Cream, 50gms.  This is a lightweight day cream formulated to even skin tone, soothe irritations and aid the skin's protective barrier.  This is a light and healing face cream for normal skin types. It contains our active, raw and unpasteurised 500+ MGO Mānuka Honey from hives on Aotea.

Mānuka Honey is Antimicrobial and a known Anti-inflammatory, which can help to reduce irritations of the skin. It is also known to promote skin regeneration, repair cellular damage and hydrate the skin throughout the day by assisting in the absorption and retention of moisture.

Ingredients: Manuka Hydrosol, Sweet Almond Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Olive Oil Derived Emulsifier, Glycerin, Shea Butter, Panthenol B5, Geogard Ultra, Manuka Honey (500+ MGO), Black Currant Seed Oil, Soy Lecithin, Cetyl Alcohol, VitE, Xanthum Gum, Geranium Oil.

Harakeke Night Cream 60gms.  A rich and nourishing cream designed to revive your skin's moisture overnight.  Harakeke is a flax species that is also native to New Zealand. The oil from Harakeke seeds is rich in Linoleic acid and Omegas 3, 6, and 9, which nourish the skin. They help to lock in the moisture, which keeps your skin looking hydrated and healthier.
Ingredients: Sweet Almond Oil, Manuka Hydrosol, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, White Beeswax, Olive Oil Derived Emulsifier, Geogard Ultra, Harakeke Seed Oil, Geranium Oil.

Honey Cleanser 50gms.  A gentle cream cleanser that effectively purifies the skin without stripping the protective barrier.  This gentle cleanser contains raw and unprocessed 100+ MGO Mānuka honey, that has Antibacterial qualities, but also a moisturising and anti-inflammatory effects.  It also contains the native plant Kūmarahou, which contains saponins which are natural surfactants that produce a foamy natural lather when combined with water, which can gently cleanse your hands and your body without using the harsh chemicals that are often found in soaps.

Ingredients: Manuka Hydrosol, Liquid Castille, Sweet Almond Oil, 100+ MGO Manuka Honey, Olive Oil Derived Emulsifier, Glycerin, Coconut Oil, Geogard Ultra, Sage Oil, Soy Lecithin, Cetyl Alcohol, Xanthum Gum, Kumarahou Extract.
