Te Kapu Apiaries Honey is 100% natural with no added ingredients. Produced, harvested and packed in Wairoa’s sunny Hawkes Bay, Te Kapu Apiaries honey is a delicious, natural honey that can be used on bread, dressings, in baking, smoothies and instead of sugar.

Te Kapu Apiaries is a family-owned business that has been producing golden, sweet nectar for 70 years.  Three generations of the Pegram family have been caring for bees and producing amazing honey from their slice of paradise in Wairoa, New Zealand.

The big 500mls glass jars come in 3 fabulous flavours - Clover, Rewarewa and Tawari. The three kinds of honey each have their own distinctive taste as the bees have collected pollen from different plants.

Rewarewa - is noted for its distinctive rich malty flavour. It melts in your mouth - a true taste of the New Zealand native bush. The Rewarewa tree is an evergreen tree endemic to the low elevation and valley forests of New Zealand's North Island.

Tawari - is said to be the paramount honey of all honeys with its rich, sweet flavour coupled with a hint of butterscotch extracted from the nectar of the delicate white flowers of the Tawari tree.  The Tawari is a bushy tree with thick, narrow, serrated, dark green leaves and panicles of white flowers found in native forests in the North island.

Clover -  a mild delicate sweet flavour from the pasture of the local farms with a pleasing creamy texture. It's a lovely, old-fashioned honey staple.  It's a win-win situation between farmers and beekeepers as farmers reap the benefits of increased reseeding that occurs with increased bee activity, which means that future clover yields remain abundant. Beekeepers benefit from the clover bloom, as clover is one of the main nectar sources for honeybees.

This honey is smartly presented and makes a great gift.
