These Matariki stars are a great way to celebrate Matariki. We have stars in the colours of Pōhutukawa - Red, Waitā - Dark Blue, Hiwaiterangi - Yellow, Waiti - Light Blue and Ururangi in Grey.
Matariki is a special event in the New Zealand calendar that marks the start of the Māori New Year. Signified by the Matariki cluster of stars reappearing in our night sky, this is a time to reflect on the past year, celebrate the present, and plan for the year ahead. This year we will celebrate Matariki on the 24th of June with a public holiday.
The stars, come with how-to assemble instructions and once assembled, measure 80mm x 80mm and come with a 50mm hook so you can hang them.
They are designed and made by Abstract Designs, Wellington from laser cut MDF.
