These earrings are made from pounamu found in the West coast of the South Island of New Zealand. Pounamu refers to several types of hard, durable and highly valued nephrite jade, bowenite, or serpentinite stone found in southern New Zealand. Pounamu is the Māori name.
Each pair of earrings are slightly different depending on the shape and hue of the greenstone. Let us know what you're after and we'll choose a pair as close as to your request as possible.
The long diamond shaped earrings measure 35 x 8mm, the teardrop ones are the same size, the hearts are approx 12 x 12mm and the round circles are about 18mm in diameter.
The findings are made of stirling silver.
