This marvellous little book of New Zealand slang and colloquialisms is both informative and amusing.  It covers everything from slang to amusing synonyms to classic Kiwi sayings.

The book, created originally as a final art project for  Lucy Kirkwood's graphic design degree, has proven very popular.  This newest edition is in snappy, smart black and white.

It contains clever updates on traditional kiwi sayings as well as new editions to our colourful language.

Some of our favourites are

Hangry - being so hungry it makes you angry

Neighbournet - Mooching off a neighbour's wireless internet connenction. The neighbournet is slower and dies randomly, but its free.

Lego Hair - A particularly shitty male haircut in which the sides cover the ears and the hair appears to be 'snap on.'

Hyberdating - Someone who ignores all their friends when they are dating someone.

It's a well put together book with lovely graphics and is highly amusing.

The Official Dictionary of New Zealand Slang will make you laugh and is a great gift.
